Immediate dental implant placement after tooth extraction, with a follow-up examination after 4 year

Chief Complaint:
Upper incisor loose for many years complicated by chronic apical periodontitis. Due to an urgent need to go abroad, the patient requested rapid resolution of inflammation while maintaining aesthetics.

Treatment Plan:
For tooth 21, bone grafting after extraction to increase bone volume, followed by immediate implant placement, and wearing a temporary crown for transition. The permanent porcelain crown was fitted 3 months later. A night guard was worn during this period.

Advantages of the Plan:
Bone grafting after extraction + immediate implant placement allowed multiple procedures to be completed in one surgery. This not only streamlined the process but also significantly reduced the probability of alveolar bone resorption after extraction, helping to achieve excellent anterior aesthetic results. The use of a temporary crown avoided social embarrassment. At the 4-year follow-up, the dental implant remained stable and the periodontal tissue was healthy.
