Therefore, it is best to perform pit and fissure sealing as early as possible to protect it proactively.

Ages 11-13: Second Permanent Molar Stage
The second permanent molar is located very far back in the mouth and is difficult to clean during brushing. Therefore, it should also be sealed as soon as possible after eruption to prevent decay.
